Keith Brown
Title: Owner/ArboristQualifications: Board Certified Master Arborist, ISA Climber Specialist, member American Society of Consulting Arborists, Board of Director Texas Chapter International Society of Arboriculture.
Work Experience: My first experience in the tree business was a summer job during high school dragging brush. Four years later I was a Certified Arborist. I have worked virtually every position in tree service: climber, foreman, applicator technician, salesman, manager and now business owner. I live to work; trees are a part of who I am.
Personal: I grew up in a golfing family. There was a club in my hands from the time I could walk until I graduated high school and had to get a job. Golf is one of my favorite pastimes; I just don’t have much time to pass around. Amanda, my beautiful wife, and I married September of 2006; no kids yet.
Micah Burns
Title: Arborist/ estimatorQualifications: Certified Arborist, Texas Oak Wilt Certified, TDA licensed Work Experience: Prior to the inception of Austin Tree Experts, I worked with Keith at another company. Like Keith, I started out on a tree pruning crew and have worked my way through virtually every position possible.
Personal: I am an Austin native and wouldn’t live anywhere else. Great weather, green community and friendly Texas folk, what else could you want? During my free time I enjoy photography, golf and being outdoors.
Emily Vogt
Title: Arborist/ estimatorQualifications: Forest Science associates degree from Joliet junior college, Certified Arborist
Work Experience: My first job was working as an intern with Rainbow Scientific Tree Care Advancements in the research department. I worked mostly with an Oakwilt project that was conducted in central Texas. After Graduation I worked for a large tree care service just outside of Chicago. My main function there was writing job specifications for large properties.
Personal: I recently moved to Texas following my husband, Spenser. He owns a septic installation service in the communities north of Austin. I spend most of my free time working on our new house and taking care of our cows.
Tara Hamilton
Title: Arborist/ Tree Health Care ManagerQualifications: BS Botany from SFA State University/ Certified Arborist/ TDA licensed
Work Experience: I worked for three years in Dallas for a Tree Care service as a tree care technician prior to moving to Austin. Before starting with Austin Tree Experts I worked at a large Landscaping company where I learned a great amount of valuable information about how the landscape as a whole interacts with the trees.
Personal: When I’m not taking care of trees I try to be playing sand volleyball. During the spring and summer I play in leagues and I also enjoy playing a Zilker park when there isn’t a league game. I move to Austin two years ago after visiting some friends and realizing what a cool place it is here.Veronica Moss
Title: Scheduling/BillingWork Experience: I worked with Keith at a previous job and followed him when he started Austin Tree Experts. I handle all the job scheduling and money collecting.
Personal: My life revolves around my 4 year old son, Preston. I don’t know what else to say.
Oscar Dorantes
Title: Crew leaderWork Experience: Oscar has worked with Keith for nine years, five of those were at another company. He had 4 years experience as a climber prior. Oscar is our head honcho crew leader and responsible for training new climbers.
Personal: I spend most of my free time with my baby boy and occasionally resting from a hard day’s work.
Ramiro Dorantes
Title: Crew leaderPersonal: I like to help watch after my brother’s son. I like to spend my free time with family and friends.
